YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy Policy.

How we handle data when you browse, watch, or sign in to Chingu Stories.

Last updated:

At a glance

  • You can watch as a guest. Signing in is optional.
  • A guest session still has an identifier for authentication and security.
  • Your saved list, playback progress, language, and autoplay preference are stored on your device.
  • The current app does not display ads or include an advertising SDK.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Chingu Stories (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information through the Chingu Stories mobile app, its backend services, and this privacy website. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@1click.ai.

2. Information we handle

Guest sessions and optional accounts

When you use the app as a guest, our authentication service creates a guest user identifier. This allows the app to maintain a session and lets our backend recognize requests. “Guest” does not mean that activity is unidentifiable: security records can be associated with this identifier.

If you register with email or use a third-party sign-in option, our authentication service processes account information such as your email address and, when provided, your display name and profile photo. Passwords entered for email sign-in are handled by our authentication service; our application backend does not receive or store your password.

Security and technical information

Our backend stores your user identifier, sign-in provider, guest status, first and most recent access times, and any security restriction on the account. It also keeps daily summaries of request counts, request categories, response status codes, and access times associated with that identifier.

Our API uses IP addresses temporarily to limit excessive requests. Its security activity database does not store IP addresses. Service providers, including authentication and video delivery providers, may process IP addresses, device or browser information, and technical logs needed to authenticate users, deliver media, and protect their services.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your selected language, autoplay setting, saved series, and episode playback progress locally. These preferences and viewing progress are not currently synchronized to our backend. The app also caches images and stores authentication session information on your device.

Support messages

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, the issue you describe, and any attachments you choose to send. Please do not send passwords or authentication codes.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate sessions, provide the catalog and video playback, display account details, remember local preferences, respond to support requests, maintain service reliability, and detect or prevent abuse.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. Optional sign-in is not a requirement for watching available episodes.

4. Our backend and service providers

Our backend manages the catalog, authorizes video playback, and maintains the security records described in this policy. We also use service providers for the following functions:

  • Authentication and sign-in: creating guest identities, managing optional accounts, verifying credentials, and protecting sign-in sessions.
  • Video hosting and delivery: storing and streaming episodes and providing subtitles. Your device connects to these delivery services when playing videos or loading subtitles.
  • Cloud infrastructure: hosting our backend, database, images, and this website.

These providers process information needed to perform their functions, such as account information for authentication and network information for media delivery, under their applicable privacy and data protection terms.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking in the current version.

Our backend and service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, applicable data protection terms and transfer safeguards govern those transfers.

5. Advertising planned for a future update

We plan to introduce in-app advertising in a future update. Advertising is not active in the current version.

When advertising is introduced, advertising service providers may process information such as IP addresses, device or app identifiers, approximate location inferred from an IP address, ad impressions and interactions, and technical diagnostic information. The information used will depend on the features enabled, your location, your device settings, and your privacy choices.

The purposes may include displaying and measuring ads, detecting fraud, maintaining service quality, and, where permitted and subject to the required choices, personalizing advertising. We will describe the actual collection and sharing practices in this policy and the app’s privacy disclosures before enabling advertising.

Where required, we will ask for consent or device tracking permission before processing information for those purposes and provide controls to manage your choices. Permission will not be inferred merely from installing the app or reading this policy.

This page does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not embed third-party trackers.

6. How long information is kept

  • Backend activity summaries: a daily cleanup removes records older than 30 days from the live database.
  • Guest identifiers, account security records, and restrictions: these currently have no automatic expiration. You may request deletion using the contact details below; limited information may need to be retained for security or legal obligations.
  • Authentication account information: retained while the account exists and according to the authentication service’s deletion and backup procedures. Logged authentication IP addresses are kept for a few weeks; removal of other account information from live and backup systems can take up to 180 days after account deletion is initiated.
  • Local preferences, history, and caches: remain on the device until changed or removed through the app or the device’s storage controls. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not, by itself, request deletion of backend or authentication records.
  • Support correspondence and backups: retained as needed to address requests, protect the service, and support recovery or legal obligations. Backup copies can retain older records after removal from live systems until those backups are retired.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You can use the app without registering an account, sign out through Profile, and change your language or autoplay preference. Your saved series can be managed in My list.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or complain to a data protection authority.

To make a request, email info@1click.ai with the subject “Chingu Stories privacy request.” For account deletion, identify the account email if you have one. If you use a guest account, let us know so we can help identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before acting and will respond within the period required by applicable law.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, authentication checks, restricted database access, and request limits to help protect the service. No system can guarantee complete security, and we encourage you to keep your device and account credentials protected.

9. Children and age

Chingu Stories is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where applicable.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or request consent when required.
